Game Atlas is built so your archive stays with you. This page says exactly what leaves your device, and when.
What stays on your device
- Your games, completions, memories, notes and marks. On the free plan (Cartridge) none of it is sent to Interloper Studios.
- PlayStation or Steam export files you import are read by the app or by your own archive server, never by Interloper Studios. Transaction identifiers are hashed (SHA-256) and never stored as they are.
- A random installation identifier, kept in the device's secure storage, used only to bind a licence to your installation.
What we don't do
No ads, no trackers, no third-party analytics, no device fingerprinting. We do not sell or share data.
When something leaves the device
- Your own server. If you connect the app to an archive you host (for example on an Umbrel at home), data goes to that server, which is yours.
- Purchases. In-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We receive no payment data; the app only reads the store's signed receipt.
- Covers. To find cover art, the archive server queries SteamGridDB by game title. No personal data goes with it.
- Sync (Memory Card and Multitap), when available. The data you choose to sync is kept on our servers, encrypted in transit, only to keep your devices up to date and back them up. You can ask for deletion at any time.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, portability or deletion of any data we hold (Brazil's LGPD and equivalent laws). The app also exports your whole archive.
Children
Game Atlas is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
